The Garden Club of Toronto Projects

Spring Flower and Garden Show - the annual flower show now known as "Canada Blooms".

The Civic Garden Centre - initiated by the Garden Club to serve the public with gardening information, courses and demonstrations. Now called the Toronto Botanical Garden.

Black Creek Pioneer Village and Black Creek Conservation Area - perimeter, pond, valley and village planted with plants appropriate to 1867

King and Jarvis - was completed with appropriate period plantings and garden furniture in 1980 and yearly donations for bulbs have continued.






Humber_1.jpgWildflower Garden at Humber Arboretum - is a nature preserve and is used as a teaching centre.









Spadina House - the restoration and planting of historically appropriate gardens.








CasaLomaresized_1.jpgCasa Loma - the design and landscaping of a variety of colourful and exciting gardens "fit-for-a-castle" were completed in 1992.













West End Creche - an integrated children's garden-playground.




 Rotary Cheshire Apartments/Helen Keller Center - a roof-top garden/gardening lessons for the blind.










Operation Wildflower - the planting of wildflowers along the highway at 404 and 7.

TeachingGarden_2.jpgThe Teaching Garden at Edwards Gardens - a working garden to educate children in the love and values of gardening.







TBG_Entrance_Gardens.bmpEntrance Garden at the Toronto Botanical Gardens - the Garden Club of Toronto's 60th anniversary project where the gardens surrounding the building were planted with trees, shrubs and unusual plants.










Flower Festivals - at St. James Cathedral, University of Toronto Chapels, Little Trinity Flower Festival, the Centennial of the parish of Holy Rosary and St. Anne's Church, Floral carpet at the Rotunda of City Hall for the celebration of Toronto's 175th Birthday.
