Projects & Community Engagement: The Heart of Our Mission

The Projects and Community Engagement Committee is the public face – and compassionate heart - of the Garden Club of Toronto (GCT). As the charitable arm of GCT, the Committee leads all of our community and civic garden initiatives, guiding each project from the spark of an idea through thoughtful design, fundraising, implementation, and long-term care.

Every garden we create is more than a place – it’s a promise to the community. Whether we are transforming public spaces into green sanctuaries or nurturing partnerships that bring the joy of nature to those in need, our work reflects our belief that gardens have the power to heal, uplift, and connect.

In addition to civic garden projects, the Committee also leads our community outreach efforts – collaborating with local charitable organizations to offer hands-on floral design and gardening workshops. These programs empower individuals through creativity and connection, using nature as a gentle guide toward beauty and renewal.

From planting pollinator meadows to potting flowers with seniors, our Projects and Community Engagement Committee bring the mission of the Garden Club to life – in every garden, every partnership, and every bloom shared.
